Who is Jesus?
Wherever you find yourself on the journey of faith, we’re glad you’re here. Maybe you’ve heard of Jesus before—through stories, assumptions, or even experiences with others that may not fully reflect who He truly is. Whatever brought you to this moment, something has drawn you to explore or perhaps reconsider Jesus. That’s no small step. It’s brave, and we believe it’s significant. We’re praying that God will guide you as you seek to discover more.

To understand Jesus, we look to the firsthand accounts of those who walked with Him—stories recorded in the Bible by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Each offers a unique perspective, reflecting how Jesus relates to people differently, just as we all have unique ways of seeing and connecting with Him.

These accounts tell us that Jesus was sent by God as part of a greater plan to redeem and restore the world. From the beginning, God created a perfect world, but humanity chose to reject Him, bringing brokenness and struggle into every part of life. Yet, God didn’t leave us in that state. His plan is one of redemption—restoring us to a relationship with Him, healing our hearts, and inviting us to join in His work of renewal.

At the center of this redemptive story is Jesus. As Eugene Peterson puts it, “Jesus took on flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood.” He came to show us what God is like, to live out perfect love and grace, and to teach us how to walk in peace, purpose, and true fulfillment.

What is Jesus like?
As you explore the stories of Jesus in Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John, one characteristic stands out: His love for people. Jesus extended grace to the overlooked and forgotten, welcoming those who felt unworthy or excluded. He invited unlikely individuals to follow Him—not because they had it all together, but because He met them right where they were, offering hope and transformation.
Jesus’ life challenged the status quo, and His radical love drew the ire of those in power. They conspired to end His life, and Jesus was brutally executed on a cross. Yet, His story didn’t end there. Three days after His death, He rose again, demonstrating His power over sin and death.
Because Jesus is alive, His love and power remain available to us. He offers forgiveness for our past, strength for today, and hope for tomorrow. Through His Spirit, He walks with us, transforming our lives and teaching us to live in His ways.

Why does Jesus matter for our lives?
Maybe you’re here because something in your life feels incomplete. Perhaps you’re searching for love that no relationship has fulfilled, or you sense there’s more to life than what you’ve achieved. Maybe you feel like an outsider, longing to be seen and known.
Whatever has brought you to this moment, Jesus is intersecting your story. He sees you. He invites you to follow Him and to discover the “unforced rhythms of grace” that bring peace, purpose, and connection to Him and others.
In Jesus, we find redemption from our past, a hope-filled future, and a fulfillment deeper than anything else can offer. He matters because He is the true answer to our deepest longings.
